Try reporting on illegal immigrants

 When the stories about Shawna Forde (whom I do not know) first appeared last year, my first thought, because of the manner in which they were written, was that The Herald had a grudge against this woman or bias against those against illegal immigration. After the recent concentration (almost daily!) of stories about her, I still have those same thoughts. Enough already!

Rather than use her story to push your agenda, why not write an unbiased article on the impact of illegal immigration, good and bad? What ever happened to just reporting the facts and letting readers make their own interpretation? I would really enjoy having you stick your neck out and report both sides of a story without bias!

I also believe there are many more important news stories that your staff could be covering such as the economy and the impact of the upcoming Senate vote on the cap and trade energy bill. You could report how the Congress received an additional 300-plus pages in supplements on said bill at 3 a.m. the day they were to vote on it and question if anyone had read those additional pages. Or perhaps a story on what nationalized health care is really like in Canada and England and why this might not be the best solution for our country. How about a story covering the scandal and investigation into ACORN?

When you are competing with the Internet for readers, you really need to give readers more than you currently are.
