Wildfire sweeps through foothills near L.A.

A wildfire spread through the dry foothills of California’s San Gabriel Mountain Range on Thursday morning, burning two homes and forcing nearly 2,000 residents to evacuate. Most of the damage occurred near the cities of Glendora and Azusa, 20 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Smoke made its way all the way to the coast.
