Several Snohomish County businesses made the list of top aerospace companies in this week’s Puget Sound Business Journal. The list of aerospace companies is based on the number of employees in the region.
No surprise on the top slot: The Boeing Co. has 81,798 employees in the Puget Sound area, including thousands of workers here in Everett.
Everett’s Aviation Technical Services claimed the second spot with 1,042 employees. ATS recently found more space in Everett, having given up a hangar at Paine Field to Boeing.
Although Bellevue’s Esterline Technologies came in third, its Korry Electronics division is located in Everett.
Crane Aerospace &Electronics in Lynnwood came in fourth with 900 employees. Auburn-based Skills Inc. came in eighth with help from its workers in Arlington. Those employee work on parts for Arlington’s AMT, which, oddly, is not on the list.
Everett’s PRV Aerospace ranked in the 11 spot, followed by Mukilteo-based Electroimpact at 12 and Everett’s Tect Aerospace at 13.
Goodrich Aerostructures in Everett took the 14th spot with 202 workers. New Breed, which is based in North Carolina, has 195 employees in Everett, which was good enough for 15th place.
At 23 was Northwest Aerospace Technologies, which operates in Everett.
