Eisinger leads Jackson by Kamiak, 63-49

MILL CREEK – In times of adversity the star players seem to shine through.

For the Jackson Timberwolves their shining star has been senior guard Jamie Eisinger.

Eisinger had a game-high 23 points and added seven assists, leading Jackson to the 63-49 Wesco South victory over Kamiak at Jackson High School Friday night.

In the last five games Eisinger has averaged 23 points and has kept the Timberwolves in the thick of the race for the Wesco South title.

Despite losing two starters for eligibility reasons Jackson (11-3 in league, 13-5 overall) trails Edmonds-Woodway by one game with two remaining.

“Eisinger is playing really really well. He’s had to step it up even more,” Jackson head coach Steve Johnson said.

Despite the loss, Kamiak (8-6, 9-9) backed its way into the 4A District 1 tournament, thanks to Meadowdale’s win over Mountlake Terrace.

The Knights actually cut the Timberwolves lead to two late in the third quarter but Jackson finished off the quarter with a 10-1 run.

Ben Iddins led the Knights with 19 points.

Dan Wishko added 11 points for Jackson and the Timberwolves got solid play from their rotation, as nine Jackson players scored in the game.

Jackson plays at Edmonds-Woodway in the season finale on Thursday.

“Our goal is to stay on their heels and see what happens,” Johnson said.
