Arlington: Skate park summit planned
Skateboarders are invited to a skate park summit from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hadley Hall at the Arlington Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave NE.
This is the second skate park summit the city has hosted this year. This summit is intended to build on the previous meeting with discussion about possible changes to the Arlington Skate Park and about fundraising ideas.

Marysville: Meeting on roads measure
An informational meeting for residents of the Marysville-Tulalip area regarding an $18 billion regional transportation ballot measure is planned for Wednesday.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Quil Ceda Elmentary School, 2415 74th St. NE.
The Nov. 6 ballot measure, if approved, would allocate about $70 million to improvements to I-5 interchanges and roads in the Marysville-Tulalip area.
The package would raise six-tenths of 1 percent in state sales tax and vehicle taxes by $80 for every $10,000 worth of the value per vehicle.

Stanwood: New administrator chosen
The Stanwood City Council has chosen Joyce Papke to fill the city’s top job.
Papke, the assistant city manager for Normandy Park, is scheduled to take over for Stanwood city administrator William Beckman, who plans to retire. Papke is scheduled to begin Dec. 1.
For 13 months, she was Normandy Park’s interim city manager. She has also served as Medina city manager, Lake Forest Park finance director and Bellevue deputy finance director.
