    Mariner pins its way past Cascade

    EVERETT -- Mariner bounced back from its loss last week to defending 4A state champion Lake Stevens with a 58-21 non-league win over Cascade Tuesday.

    The Marauders began the meet with three straight pins and had five total.

    Cascade coach Todd Freeman said the young Bruins were represented by freshman Lex Duncan, who held his own in a 9-3 loss to Mariner upperclassman Don Tiongco.

    The meet was stopped during the 160-pound bout when Mariner wrestler A.J. Anderson suffered a neck injury and was taken to the hospital by emergency medical personnel.
