Concerts: Coldplay, NIN, Death Cab and Jay-Z share a bill

The inaugural Pemberton Festival, a huge show 30 minutes north of Whistler, BC, goes on sale Friday.

The bill has impressive headliners: Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Jay-Z, Tom Petty, Death Cab for Cutie and the Flaming Lips, to name my favorites. For a Snohomish County resident, the three-day festival could rival Sasquatch, which is closer but still a drive.

Along with that show, tickets for Dave Matthews Band and She Wants Revenge are set to go on sale.

Here’s a glance at those shows and more. I’ll update this as I learn of other shows. Ticket prices don’t include random service charges, parking fees, etc.

  • Pemberton Festival at the Pemberton Festival Grounds, Pemberton, BC, $239.50 Canadian, which converts almost equally to about $236 US. This is an early bird sale for three-day passes. Tickets likely will increase in price after supplies sell out. Tickets for the July 25-27 festival on sale Friday.
  • Carrie Underwood at the Puyallup Fair and Events Center, Puyallup, presale from now to 9:59 a.m. Saturday, $50 to $75. Presale password is “wolf.” Tickets for the Sept. 19 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • She Wants Revenge at the Showbox at the Market, Seattle, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $20. Sorry, I don’t have a presale password yet. Tickets for the June 18 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • Pat Green at the Showbox at the Market, Seattle, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $22.50. Password is “showbox.” Tickets for the July 11 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge Ampitheatre, George, $48.50 to $70. Tickets for the Aug. 29 show on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. Saturday.
  • Did I miss a good show, or do you have a presale password worth sharing? Stick it in the comments section below.
