Shooting victim was selling pot, police say

LYNNWOOD -- The man who was shot late Wednesday night in Lynnwood allegedly was selling marijuana.

He was hurt when two men robbed him of the drugs and fired a BB gun at him, according to court documents.

One man, 19, of Everett, was arrested Thursday for investigation of first-degree robbery in connection with the incident, the documents said.

Lynnwood police said they’re still looking for two people connected to the incident: a 17-year-old Mill Creek boy and his girlfriend, an 18-year-old Mountlake Terrace woman.

Just before midnight Wednesday in the parking lot at the Walgreen’s at 208th Street SW and Highway 99, a Lynnwood man, 18, got into a Ford Expedition, allegedly to sell two men marijuana. The man got into a fight with the driver over money. The driver pulled a BB gun out from under the seat and hit the man in the face around five times, the documents said.

Someone yelled “shoot him” several times. The man got out of the SUV and was grazed by a BB fired at his back, the documents said. He was treated and released from a local hospital, said Shannon Sessions, a Lynnwood police spokeswoman.

The man arrested for robbery is expected to go before a judge today.
