A plan to redevelop the waterfront in downtown Edmonds is set for discussion at the next Edmonds City Council meeting.
The meeting is 7 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Public Safety Complex, 250 Fifth Ave. N.
For months, city officials and developers have been talking about redeveloping the antique mall, Harbor Square and Skippers restaurant properties.
The City Council recently approved several provisions supporting the possible purchase of land for parks along the city's waterfront.

Residents complete Citizens Police Academy
More than a dozen people recently graduated from the Mountlake Terrace Police Department's second Citizens Police Academy.
The 13 graduates spent three hours a week for 12 weeks learning the inner-workings of the police department.
They toured the 911 dispatch center, rode along with patrol officers and watched the department's police dog scour the City Council chambers for hidden drugs.
They also learned about issues such as domestic partner stalking and the process of collecting evidence.
The Mountlake Terrace Police Department Citizens Academy is open to adults and teens at least 16 years old who are accompanied by a parent.
