Their parents are Ricky and Julie Shaw of Springfield, Ore., and Vicki and Jim Bratcher of McMinnville, Ore. Karen is a 2004 graduate of Springfield High School and a 2008 graduate of Linfield College. She works as an emergency room secretary at Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville. Nathan is a 2002 graduate of McMinnville High School. He is a customer service representative with Lincare in McMinnville. The couple met while they were working at Willamette Valley Medical Center. They have been dating since April 2006. Nathan proposed to Karen at home after a romantic dinner. Karen's grandparents, Lee and Anna Smith, live in Mountlake Terrace. Orsland Alvin and Patricia Orsland of Camano Island celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 20 with a family dinner. The couple were married on Easter Sunday, March 20, 1948, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Everett. The Orslands met at Everett High School and began dating in 1947 after Al served in the Marine Corps during World War II. The couple lived in Everett until 1968 when they moved to Stanwood-Camano, where they still live. Alvin and Patricia have two children and four grandchildren. Hart and O'Banion Terrie Lynn Hart and Dan Andrew O'Banion were married Dec. 27, 2007, in Everett. Their parents are Robert and Dorothy MacQuarrie of Marysville and William and Maureen O'Banion of Kentucky. Family and friends will gather for a celebration for the couple in August.
