Links on eve of opening day

Here’s a bunch of links to stories I found interesting before Sunday’s kickoffs:

This can’t be good news for Edgerrin James and Arizona’s running game. (http://tinyurl.com/6glzkd). Although if you picked James in your draft and were counting on him to be a starter you already had a sick feeling going into the season.

It looks like Reggie Brown will sit today. (http://tinyurl.com/63x45c) If you’re thin at receiver and have DeSean Jackson plug him in. He’s a rookie, so don’t expect a ton, but he could be a nice plug in.

For all Torry Holt owners, here’s some good news. Make sure to scroll down to the bottom to the Ram-blings (http://tinyurl.com/626pxn)

As I said in my preview, it looks like Jay Cutler is a star in the making in Denver. He’ll need to throw a lot and with Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal and Brandon Stokley around, he’s got the tools to do it. Here’s a nice article that seems to point to Cutler maturing into that role. (http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_10371573)

It looks like Ricky Williams will start Sunday (http://tinyurl.com/6oy9uo), but Ronnie Brown will play early and often. Sounds like Ricky’s a flex option at best if you need it.

If you picked Jonathan Stewart this has to be good news. (http://tinyurl.com/5c68bk). Sounds like if he stays healthy he could be REAL good. The Panthers will bounce back this season, so there will be plenty of carries for both DeAngelo Williams and Stewart. But Stewart may get the lion’s share … which is opposite of what I thought a week ago.

Check back either later tonight or Sunday morning for the preview. I’m still cobbling …
