The two eastbound lanes of the highway between Highway 527 and I-405 were closed over the weekend, as crews worked around the clock to connect the road to new straighter lanes. The work required drivers to take a detour around the busy segment of Highway 522, which runs between Monroe and Seattle. The state is working with the University of Washington and Cascadia Community College to build a new entrance to the south side of the Bothell campus.
