VP Debate - discuss it here

Posted at 6:26 pm by Jerry Cornfield

Hi
I understand the live blog technology is cranky.
So comment here if you want on what you're hearing.
Key questions so far - your analysis of their economic and tax issues?
And the energy comments.

Seems Sen. Joe Biden is coming off like a regular kind of guy better than some might have expected.

One point of agreement is neither presidential tandem supports legalizing same-sex marriage.

McCain know how to win?
She actually said that John McCain "knows how to win a war"? Which war was that? Vietnam? He spent most of that in th Hilton, after signing the statement that the Viet-cong forced him to!! What war has he won?? She needs some serious learning on our history!!

Were all Mavericks here...
McCain more than any other Presidential candidate in history had a responsibility to pick a competent running mate, due to the fact that he is older than dirt, and has a snowballs' chance in hell of surviving the stress of this office... and he chose instead a carnival sideshow. She is a bad sitcom come to life (remember Geena Davis' Presidential stint? I actually liked that show! But the possible reality scares the heck out of me).

the Maverick
John McCain stopped being able to claim the Maverick label 8 years ago when he lost to Dubya... He has done nothing but kiss the well-padded behinds of Ultra-right-wing conservatives ever since!
