Police Beat

Here are selected reports from the Lake Forest Park and Shoreline police departments:

Oct. 16

Stalking. 2000 block 21st Pl. NE. A boyfriend and girlfriend ended their relationship one year ago. The ex-boyfriend continued to leave text messages and voicemails, which caused the female anxiety and grief.

Fourth degree assault. 1800 block NW 201st St. A boyfriend shoved his girlfriend’s head into cabinets, threw wine coolers at her and tried to set a blanket on fire.

Oct. 17

Welfare check. 17400 Brookside Blvd. NE. A female seemed emotionally unstable as she was talking to a tree at one point. She said she was homeless and may have hurt someone. It did not appear she had committed a crime.

Oct. 18

Controlled substance. NE 185th St./12th Ave. NE. Officers discovered 8.5 grams of cocaine, 2 grams of heroin, marijuana, pills and seized $4,700 in cash.

Oct. 20

Stalking. 100 N. 175th St. Victim reported problems with a former roommate that rented out of his house.

Mischief. 2200 NW 190th Pl. Victim’s house was toilet papered and campaign signs were in her yard. She believed it was most likely caused by high school students.

Oct. 21

Larceny. 20400 18th Ave. NW. A backpack containing school books was stolen out of a vehicle.

Theft. 14500 15th Ave. NE. Three tires were stolen from an auto service establishment when a vehicle was dropped off for repairs.

Vandalism. 14500 Aurora Ave. N. Victim was leaving work at drugstore when she discovered her car window had been shattered. No items were stolen from the car.

Oct. 22

Controlled substance. 19500 Aurora Ave. N. Subject was arrested for trespassing at apartment complex. During arrest, officer discovered subject was in possession of heroin.

Theft. 600 NW Richmond Beach. A grocery store employee was leaving work when they discovered their car was stolen. The vehicle is a four-door light blue 1986 Subaru GL.

Fraud. 18500 Wallingford Ave. A Verizon employee called to follow up on a recently purchased BlackBerry cell phone. The subject said she had not purchased a BlackBerry or opened a phone account.

Vandalism. 19400 Aurora Ave. NE. Subject(s) smashed a window of a vehicle for sale parked in the front of a dealership.

Vandalism. 20th Avenue NW/195th Street. A small rock was thrown and hit a windshield while the driver was headed eastbound along 195th Street near 20th Avenue NW. The driver saw two teenaged girls walking along the road and said one threw the rock.
