Police Beat

A man ran from police during a traffic stop at Olympic View Drive and Puget Drive in Edmonds at 1:45 p.m. Oct 23. He was followed by a K-9 unit and captured, arrested and booked into the Lynnwood Jail.

Oct. 21

THEFT. 8600 block 236th St. A large replica giraffe was taken from the victim’s front yard.

HARASSMENT. 9000 block 244th St. SW. A suspect threatened to kill the victim and her husband. The suspect and victim have a child together.

THEFT. 23600 block Hwy. 99. Two people stole a shopping cart full of meat. One ran away and the other left in a vehicle.

BURGLARY. 8000 block 214th Pl. SW. A burglar entered the home through a rear window during the day.

ASSAULT. 7300 208th St. SW. A PUD worker was assaulted by a customer. The suspect was cited and released.

BURGLARY. 10000 block 242nd Pl. SW. The victim reported that items were stolen from her residence during a burglary.

HARASSMENT. 6900 block 163rd Pl. SW. Victim reported harassing phone calls and electronic communication via Facebook.

Oct. 24

THEFT. 10000 block Edmonds Way. Items were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked overnight behind a sub shop.

THEFT. 500 block Fifth Ave. S. Customers dined at a restaurant and left without paying.

Oct. 22

FORGERY. 21900 block Hwy. 99. A person forged a prescription to obtain a controlled substance.

THEFT. 21400 block 72nd Ave. W. Cash was stolen from a person’s wallet.
