Rhody fans will find mature and starter sizes of species rhododendrons, fragrant varieties and hybrids. Checks, cash and credit cards accepted. Proceeds support the care of the not-for-profit gardens. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume of a flower, plant, insect or fairy in both children and adult categories. Save the dates: The Northwest Flower & Garden Show will be Feb. 3 to 7 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle. “Beauty and Functionality” will be the theme at the show, featuring 25 display gardens, speakers, seminars and exhibitors. Portland-based O’Loughlin Trade Shows purchased the show from show founder Duane Kelly in June and is calling this year’s show “a new beginning for a Northwest tradition.” Admission will be $20 at the door for adults, $5 for ages 13 to 17, and free for ages 12 and younger.
