Boeing workers in South Carolina have been the subject of a couple cartoons from the Northwest.

SC Boeing workers subject of cartoons

Posted at 10:15 am by Michelle Dunlop

Boeing's announcement last week to put its second 787 production line in South Carolina has inspired a couple of cartoons.

The PI's David Horsey published this one on Monday. For some reaction from South Carolina on it, read this.

A reader sent in the picture to the right of another cartoon depicting South Carolina Boeing workers:

Just a little humor...
Come on everybody, lighten up. Everyone in the Pacific Northwest should have a bitter taste in their mouth. I am just surprised that no one from the other side came back with a cartoon depicting Boeing union workers hanging out drinking Starbucks, complaining about their wages/benefits, moving incredibly slow even though the 787 seems to be well behind schedule, all the while closely monitoring the clock to see if its break time yet! I want Boeing and the Union to succeed, but lets allow for some "South Park style" humor.

Hey, if the shoe fits...
I think SCAB says it all. They sure didn't waste any time voting out their union so they could undercut NW workers, and it will be interesting to see how long they stay happy at $14 per hour (don't hold your breath waiting for McNerney to award your "loyalty" with a big raise). They made their bed, they can lie in it.

Maybe not too far off the mark,..
If you look at a recent photo of a SC worker at the factory, you'll notice she's laying on the wing, no safety glasses on, and texting on her cell. Come on, that's not going to work,...

I am ebarrassed for the Herald for posting this article. It is too bad that we did not get the 2nd line here to improve our employment opportunities in WA, but to make fun of people in SC because they won some work is just foolish. We all stand proud and say we support our troops and love America then we turn around and blast our own, AMERICANS. They have plenty of people in any state that with the proper training can do any job that anyone else in any other state does. I'm just happy that the Boeing CO. kept the work in America cause they could have just as easily shipped it to another country.
