    Local state-meet qualifiers

    The following area high school teams and individuals qualified for Saturday’s State Cross Country Championships in Pasco. Individual district-meet placements and times are in parentheses.

    1A boys

    Individuals: Harris Emmons, King’s (11th, 17:06.1); Nate Faubion, King’s (19th, 17:25.1); Ryan Gamache, King’s (23rd, 17:28.4).

    1A girls

    Team: King’s (District 1-3 champion); King’s top five district finishers: Morgan Hamm (fifth, 20:10.5); Makenzie Taylor (sixth, 20:20.8); Adele Eslinger (seventh, 20:23.3); Stephanie Rice (13th, 20:59.8); Sami McDevitt (20th, 21:25.1).
