No charge will be filed in death of Everett pedestrian

EVERETT — The Washington State Patrol has nearly completed its investigation into the death of a pedestrian at Evergreen Way and Airport Road, trooper Keith Leary said Friday.

The man, 48, of Everett, was hit by a 2004 Cadillac on Thursday about 5:45 p.m.

The driver, 25, of Lynnwood, had a green light and will not be charged, Leary said.

This area is dangerous for pedestrians!
The area of Airport Road and Highway 99 is very dangerous for pedestrians.

There have now been at least three pedestrians killed near this intersection in the last three years.

One of them was a friend of mine, Marla Estes.

I beg Everett and state transportation engineers to look at this area to find ways to make it safer for pedestrians.

How many more lives will be lost before something is done?
