Lynnwood police seek hit-and-run driver

LYNNWOOD – Police are looking for the driver who fled after hitting a girl in a crosswalk this morning.

A 17-year-old Lynnwood girl was hit by a car while she was crossing 168th Street SW in front of Meadowdale High School, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said. The car left the scene.

Medics drove the girl to Stevens Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

Police are asking the public to help find the driver and passenger of the hit-and-run car. Both are women, Sessions said. The car was described as a midsize, four-door car with a round top. Its paint was described as pea green.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lynnwood Police Department’s traffic investigation section at 425-670-5600.
