Marysville man faces child pornography and rape charges

MARYSVILLE — A federal investigation into child pornography led police to arrest a Marysville man Tuesday they allege had thousands of images of children having sex.

The man also is accused of taking nude photos of two children living in his home.

The man, 45, first came to the Marysville police department’s attention in April after special agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement linked his credit card to child pornography Web sites, according to a police affidavit filed Wednesday in Everett District Court.

Police searches of the man’s home turned up evidence that he collected young girls underwear and swim suits, had computers full of child pornography and had sexually abused the daughter of his girlfriend and had taken nude photos of his son, the court paper said.

Detectives also found a sophisticated marijuana-growing operation in a hidden crawl space.

During interviews with the girl who lived in the home, she told detectives the man took pictures of her, showed her pornography and touched her inappropriately, the court document said.

The man was booked into the Snohomish Count Jail for investigation of possession of child pornography, sexual exploitation of a minor and second-degree rape of a child.

He was previously jailed for investigation of drug charges and posted bond, the papers said.

Assumptions
A lot of good input on this one already. Yes the rapists, molesters and other law breakers are of all nationalities. White, black, asian, mexican. But since ICE is involved the possibility that it is a foreigner does seem a bit increased. And the decay of the America that we are observing has much to do with the policies and practices currently in place, or not being enforced. The fact is the immigration/amnesty issue is a hot topic and many people including myself are rather passionate about it. If the goverment would just enforce the laws as they are written and not pick and choose the ones they want to enforce we would be better off.

Don't assume
Where in in this article does it state this man is an illegal alien? I reread it a few times and don't see that mentioned? These type of crimes are commited by monsters of all race, gender, and backgrounds.

ICE isn't just about Immigration
Thanks for helping to clear this up Denise.

The I in ICE - Immigration - is just part of the agency's mission. Customs Enforcement is a major part of their job.

The guy probably came to ICE's attention because of some interstate or international child porn ring - as the article says - credit card transactions.

Either way, he is a P.O.S.!

RE: Involvement of ICE
Making the assumption that because ICE is involved that the person in question is an illegal alien is flat wrong.

If you go to the ICE website, you will find that they have many functions OUTSIDE of just tracking illegal aliens, INCLUDING cyber tracking of persons involved in the exploitation of children.

Thus, for all that can be told by ICE's involvement, the person involved COULD BE a natural born American Citizen of ANY color or ethnic background, or someone of ANY Nationality here legally, illegally or even arriving from outer space.

Since I grew up in a lily white area, all the wife/husband/child beaters, child molesters, families with incest, alcoholics, drug addicts, and the rest that I have personally known... have all been white, natural born citizens of the US. Thinking that these things only come from "outsiders" is a dangerous way to see the world.

ICE?
Since ICE is involved, I assume the dirtbag is an illegal? After he serves his 30 years (we'll be lucky if he gets 10), I would hope he's deported? Or then again, maybe amnesty will be in place by then and he can hang around Marysville again with the rest of the illegals here. There appears to be an underground railroad operating in the town.
