MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Police found nearly 60 marijuana plants in a Mountlake Terrace home during a welfare check Thursday.
The grow operation was uncovered in the 5600 block of 220th Street SW, Mountlake Terrace police Sgt. Doug Hansen said.
Officers were sent to the home to check on a man who reportedly was threatening suicide.
The man, 33, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The officers obtained a search warrant and removed the marijuana, Hansen said.
The man reportedly told police he had the plants for medicinal use.
Police will forward their investigation to prosecutors for review.
