EVERETT — A man was taken to the hospital with chest wounds after being stabbed in Everett on Thursday evening, police said.
The incident took place about 8:40 p.m. in the 3200 block of Oakes Avenue, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said. Information on the severity of the man’s wounds wasn’t immediately available. He was conscious and speaking to medics after the incident, Goetz said.
Police were searching late Thursday for a man in 50s, Goetz said. The man who was stabbed also was in his 50s.
The two were acquainted but the motive for the stabbing was unclear as of Thursday evening, Goetz said.
The suspect does not live in the home where the stabbing took place, but police were unsure whether the victim lives at the address, the sergeant said.
