MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Lake Stevens held off a late comeback from Mountlake Terrace for the five-game non-league victory (25-22, 25-12, 24-26, 24-26, 15-5). After winning the first two games, the Hawks (1-1 overall) were able to win Games 3 and 4 behind Soleil Boileau, who had 28 digs in the match, and Christine Lotz, who had seven kills for the match. But ultimately, the 4A Vikings’ energy and consistency were too much for their 3A counterpart, according to Terrace head coach Marietta Snyder. Lake Stevens (2-0) utilized key contributions from Brooke Larsen (12 kills), McKayla Huntley (five blocks) and Brooke DalGleish (20 digs) to secure the victory.
