You can pick your favorite band and do just one day or you can spring for the whole enchilada and spend five days on an island enveloped in some of the best gypsy jazz in North America during DjangoFest NW.
DjangoFest NW, in its ninth year on Whidbey Island, encompasses five days of nonstop jamming with bands such as Pearl Django, Billet-Deux and Hot Club Sandwich.
Other performers include Romane Trio “Father and Son,” Richard Manetti, Ensemble Zaiti, Gonzalo Bergara Quartet, Stephane Wrembel — The Django Experiment, Howard Alden with Bria Skonberg, Van Django, The Marc Atkinson Trio, Lache Cercel and the Roma Swing Ensemble, The Djangomatics, Dennis Chang, and Mango fan Django.
DjangoFest NW starts at 8 p.m. Wednesday and runs through Sept. 27 with concert events held either at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley or Langley Middle School, 723 Camano Ave., Langley.
Tickets range from the premium festival pass for all concerts with premium seating at $250, to a weekend pass at $166, to individual tickets for each day of music which run from $24 to $50.
