Prep Wrestling: Battle at the Border

BLAINE — Everett High School grappler Joel Palabrica earned a one-point escape with two seconds remaining on the clock to capture the 145-pound title at the Battle at the Border wrestling meet. Palabrica was the only individual champion of the meet for the fourth-place Seagulls. Braden Jacobson earned third in the 189-pound class and Conner Boyce took third in the 160-pound class for Everett. Mount Baker won the team title with 296 points with Kentwood (276) coming in second and host Blaine (268) in third. Everett finished with 261 points.
