LYNNWOOD — A Silverdale man was arrested in Lynnwood earlier this week on suspicion of assaulting and kidnapping his wife. The couple is going through a divorce.
The man, 24, met the woman at a Lynnwood school parking lot Tuesday night, after telling her he would return her dog. He then pulled a gun on her and forced her to go with him to a restaurant on 196th Street SW. She was able to get away and call for help.
The man is being held at Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree assault and first-degree kidnapping. Bail has been set at $150,000.
The woman, 20, of Lynnwood, wasn’t injured, officials said. The case remains under investigation.
