LAKE STEVENS — A family of five was displaced Friday after their home caught fire in the 8900 block of 10th Street NE near Frontier Circle E. in Lake Stevens.
The fire began just before 2:45 p.m. and was quickly extinguished, said Bruce Huston, a battalion chief with Snohomish County Fire District 8 in Lake Stevens.
The family’s three children were in school when the fire broke out, Huston said. The family received aid at the scene and have insurance.
The cause of the fire appeared to be electrical. No injuries were reported.
The house sustained moderate damage, Huston said.
