LAKEWOOD — Gregor Troost scored a goal and added two assists as Glacier Peak defeated Southridge 3-0 on Saturday to finish in third place in the 3A state soccer tournament.
Shane Miller started the scoring with a goal in the 10th minute, and David Linney added another goal in 38th minute.
“It was a great way to end the season, as disappointing as yesterday was,” Glacier Peak coach Shannon Murray said. “I think we showed the type of team we were all season long. We played good soccer and we played hard.”
Andrew Weakly was in goal for the Grizzlies in the shutout.
“We treated it no differently than any other game,” Murray added. “We wanted to win. We had fun. It was a good way to end our season.”
