A flurry of police activity outside of Snohomish on Friday morning was part of an ongoing federal and local investigation.
The case involved federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents and the South Snohomish County Narcotics Task Force, including police from Lynnwood, Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace, officials said. They were near the 13600 block of 84th Street SE in unincorporated Snohomish, not far from Dutch Hill Elementary School.
Local police departments referred all questions to the DEA.
A DEA spokeswoman declined to comment on the case Friday, because it is an ongoing investigation.
Some defendants appeared in federal court Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle.
No additional details were available Friday.
