Merchants' pitchers dominate Honkers

EVERETT -- Three Everett Merchants pitchers combined to strike out 14 batters while allowing no walks and no earned runs in an 8-1 Pacific International League win over the Northwest Honkers Wednesday at Everett Memorial Stadium.

Starter Skye Adams struck out 10 in six innings for the Merchants (11-3 league, 13-5 overall).

Third baseman Nate Mullins batted 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and four RBI. He was a double shy of hitting for the cycle.

Karsten Strieby had a three-run double and Andy Lyon batted 2-for-3.
