Merchants win on Brumley's 8th-inning home run

SEATTLE-- Logan Brumley hit a solo home run in the eighth inning to break up a tie game, and the Everett Merchants held on to defeat the Northwest Honkers 5-4 in a Pacific International League game at Steve Cox Memorial Park in Seattle.

Nate Mullins (Everett Community College) provided an RBI double, and Andy Lyon added a two-RBI triple for the Merchants (11-3 league, 17-9 overall).

Ryan Leahy started for Everett and pitched four innings. Troy Hunter pitched the final five frames to earn the win.
