Legislators, education leaders have public meeting on education budgets Wednesday night at Bothell campus

State Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, State Reps. Luis Moscoso and Derek Stanford, and administrators from the University of Washington, Cascadia Community College. the Lake Washington Technology Institute, and the Northshore School District will speak at a community meeting about education budgets Wednesday at the Bothell campus shared by Cascadia Community College and UW-Bothell.

The theme of the meeting is protecting education during tough budget times.

Speakers include McAuliffe, Moscoso, Stanford, Cascadia President Eric Murray; Northshore School Superintendent Larry Francois, David Woodall president of Lake Washington Tech, Kelly Snyder, director of community and government relations at UW-Bothell; and Andrew Lewis, director of government relations for the UW student body.

The speakers are to discuss the state of jobs the economy and supporting education despite budget cuts,

The meeting is scheduled for 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Mobles Hall on the Bothell campus. 18115 Campus Way N.E. Bothell.

The parking fee is $5.

McAuliffe, Moscoso and Stanford are Democrats representing Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Bothell and the rest of the 1st Legislative District.
