Fledgling foodies
Parents who’d love to see their kid become the next Food Network star might consider giving them a cooking-themed Christmas gift.
If there’s enough interest, perhaps Hasbro will roll out an all-stainless steel Easy-Bake Oven Professional.
Safety first: At this year’s L.A. Auto Show, carmakers have been touting features that focus on preventing accidents rather than merely surviving them.
Here are a couple of features The Buzz would like to see:
An audio system that detects cell phone use and says, “Hey moron, don’t text while you’re driving.”
An autopilot that kicks in when you’re drifting along at 65 mph in the left lane on I-5 and moves your car to the right lane where it belongs.
Speaking of driving: In response to a Herald reader’s question, a spokeswoman for the Department of Transportation explains why exit-only lanes are necessary on freeways.
In addition to traffic control, the exit-only lanes help kids learn cuss words when parent drivers get trapped in one.
