Food basket event: Advent Lutheran Church in Mill Creek will host hundreds of volunteers Dec. 17 to pack and deliver groceries to low-income families in south Snohomish County. Church members raised $10,000 to fund the Holiday Food Basket Program in partnership with Volunteers of America. Baskets will be assembled from 8 to 10 a.m. and delivered by volunteers from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 17. The church is at 4306 132nd St. SE. Information: 425-337-5373.
Christmas music in Marysville: Bethlehem Lutheran Church will host a Christmas Cantata Presentation, "The King of Who I Am," at 8:30 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. Sunday. Program includes the Chancel Choir, Praise Team, Chimes of Faith, Alleluia Strings, soloists and narration, followed by a reception. The church is at 7215 51st Ave. NE, Marysville.
Advent concerts: First Presbyterian Church Everett will hold 30-minute noon Advent concerts Dec. 16 and Dec. 23 in the sanctuary. All are welcome. Church is at 2936 Rockefeller Ave.
