TACOMA — Authorities say a sport utility vehicle crossed the center line on state Route 167 and struck an oncoming car head-on near Tacoma, killing both drivers.
KCPQ-TV reported that the crash happened Monday afternoon near 30th Avenue East.
The Washington State Patrol identified the driver of the SUV as 28-year-old Jerry Neal of Bonney Lake. The patrol said the vehicle was southbound when it crossed the center line and hit the northbound car head-on.
The driver of the car was identified as 30-year-old Gregory Stevens of Puyallup.
