SEATTLE — Federal authorities and local police raided several homes and businesses Wednesday, including locations in Snohomish County, in connection with a lengthy criminal investigation into a drug trafficking operation.
Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and detectives with the Seattle Police Department have been investigating the drug operation since 2008. The ring’s suspected leader, a Lynnwood man, is accused of moving large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin from California to Washington and into Canada.
Authorities used wiretaps and surveillance cameras to track the organization’s movements. They have seized more than $700,000 in cash, 11 kilos of cocaine, 40 pounds of meth and four guns, according to the a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle.
