Schack Art Center: 2919 Hoyt Ave., Everett; 425-259-5050; www.schack.org; Lanny Bergner, born in Anacortes, has been creating biomorphic and geometric constructions and installations out of metal mesh since 1983. “Mesh” will feature a selection of bronze, brass, aluminum and stainless steel mesh studio works created since 2005 and installations created on-site specifically for Schack; through Feb. 23; Bergner will be giving a free lecture “Mesh: Transforming the Common,” 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 18 during the Everett Art Walk. Also at Schack: Self portraits by Lynnwood High School Life Skills students in the exhibit “We Rock!” through Feb. 3 in the Willits Gallery in Studio 1.

New exhibit by Matthew Waddington called “Life Drawings,” which describes the body of the exhibit, as well as a large part of Waddington’s portfolio — figurative works. Life drawing sessions are usually arranged for quick sketching of a model, using pastels, chalk, charcoal and ink handmade monotype — a unique Waddington approach. Through March 9.

See works by a “Who’s Who artist: You can see works by a local artist who was recently profiled in “Who’s Who in America.” Donald L. Fish Harris, a commercial artist and educator, has his profile included in the 2012 edition of “Who’s Who in America.” He grew up in the Snohomish area. Two of his hand-painted murals can be seen locally: one is inside the Snohomish American Legion, 1201 First St., Snohomish; another is inside the Marysville Buzz Inn Steak House, 1115 State Ave.
