Selah service: A contemplative service of music, scripture and silent prayer, led by Jeff Johnson with special guest Jeff Maxwell, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, 1318 Highway 532, Camano Island. Lenten series: "Feasting on the Word," a Lenten series, will be at Everett's First Presbyterian Church at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays through April 4. A simple meal at 6:30 p.m. in Westminster Hall will be followed by teaching, worship and prayer ending at 8 p.m. Church is at 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
40 Days for Life: Christians who oppose abortion are welcome to join in prayer and fasting as part of a national 40 Days for Life effort that began Wednesday. Martin Luther King Jr. Musical: A Martin Luther King Jr. Musical is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 3 at First Presbyterian Church of Snohomish, 1306 Lake View Ave., Snohomish. Mary Beth Kurtenbach will direct more than 35 students in a musical depicting the civil rights leader's message. Admission is free, but a donation to church scholarship fund is accepted.
Christian Science talk: Chet Manchester, a Christian Science healer, will speak on the topic "Let Love Lead: find your path in life and work" 2 to 3 p.m. March 10 at First Church of Christ Scientist, 1718 Broadway, Everett. His talk will include perspective on Mary Baker Eddy's book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." All are welcome.
Mill Creek Christian Women's Connection: luncheon will be from11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 15 at the Mill Creek Country Club, 15500 Country Club Drive, Mill Creek. Cost is $22. Pauletta Staley, Stonecroft Ministries' national director of military ministry and upper Northwest divisional field director, will speak about "The Powerful Influence of One Woman."
