This 5-foot-11 senior is a tough matchup because of her relentless work ethic. The two-time first-team All-Greater Spokane League selection is averaging a league-leading 17.7 points per game and contributing six rebounds, three steals and three assists per game. “A horrible matchup for anyone,” Ferris head coach Rob Coulter said to The Spokesman-Review about Gallaway. “Tough to guard and gets to the free-throw line. Relentless.” As a four-year starter she’ll be leaned on for veteran leadership on the No. 1-ranked Bears. Gallaway scored 22 points in Central Valley’s 55-48 win over Chiawana in this past weekend’s state regional game.
BRITTANY McPHEE
Mount Rainier | Guard
Like their first-round opponent, Jackson, the Rams have their own sophomore sensation in Brittany McPhee. Recently named the South Puget Sound League Player of the Year, McPhee is often mentioned, along with the Timberwolves’ Kelli Kingma, as a top Class of 2014 recruit from the state of Washington. McPhee is averaging 23.0 points per game and is a force on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball for Mount Rainier. The sophomore had 19 points and 12 rebounds as the Rams crushed Bethel 58-35 in the state regionals. McPhee’s fraternal twin sister, Jordan, is also a key player for the second-ranked Rams.

This 6-1 senior post is a physcial presence on both ends of the court and she’s not afraid to show it. The University of Idaho recruit doesn’t pick up many cheap fouls and was named the Kingco 4A Most Valuable Player after she dominated opponents with her array of talents throughout this season. Averaging 14.3 points, 13.5 rebounds, four steals, three assists and three blocks, Forde led Woodinville to a 14-1 record in Kingco 4A play, good enough for the Crown Division title. In the state regionals, Forde scored 12 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and had eight blocks in the Falcons’ 59-47 win over Emerald Ridge before fouling out in the fourth quarter.

To understand the importance of this 5-10 senior one just has to look at the box score from Skyview’s Dec. 28 game against Westview (Ore.). Tied with Westview after three quarters, the Storm went on to be outscored 15-8 in the fourth quarter in a loss to the Oregon school. What was the difference? Bowen suffered an eye injury late in the third quarter. The Greater St. Helen’s League co-Most Valuable Player can score, rebound and pass in equal measure. Against Lake Stevens in the state regional, Bowen scored just nine points but she set up teammates Jocelyn Adams and Katie Swanson with a number of assists and grabbed three rebounds to power the Storm into the state quarterfinals.

Gonzaga Prep | Guard
If her surname sounds familiar its because it is. As NBA legend John Stockton’s daughter, the 5-9 guard has carved out a name for herself over her career at Gonzaga Prep. Averaging nearly 12 points a game, the four-year starter filled a large hole left by Tia Presley, who took her game to Washington State. Whether she’s dishing out assists like her dad or hitting the open jumper, Stockton is the engine that drives the Bullpups’ offense. In the state regionals, Stockton, who is headed to Montana State next year, had 15 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals in the Bullpups’ 69-35 lopsided win over Olympia this past weekend to punch their ticket to Tacoma.
