A Bothell-area man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for investigation of fatally shooting his wife, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The man called 911 a little after 3 p.m. and told a dispatcher he’d just shot his wife, sheriff’s office chief Kevin Prentiss said.
Deputies went to the home in the 1100 block of 202nd St. SE where they found the woman’s body inside. She was 52.
The suspect, 54, was arrested at the home without incident. The couple was married and shared the residence, Prentiss said.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office Major Crimes Unit are investigating.
The victim’s identity and a ruling on cause of death will await an autopsy by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
