Wenatchee burglary suspect injured in roof jump

WENATCHEE -- A burglary suspect who jumped from the roof of a Wenatchee home while fleeing police is in the intensive care unit at Central Washington Hospital Monday with injuries suffered in the fall of 20 feet or more.
Police say the 19-year-old Rock Island man was knocked unconscious in the Saturday night jump. An officer saw his legs buckle as he hit the ground.
Police say he went out a window to the roof and jumped as police responded to a neighbor's call there was an intruder in the house.
Sgt. Ken Britt told The Wenatchee World that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
