SEATTLE — Single-ticket prices for vehicles on Washington state ferries go up 25 percent on May 1, except on the San Juan Islands run.
The San Juan Islands fare will go up 35 percent.
The increases are the peak season surcharge. The Washington state ferry service says it helps pay for the cost of increased traffic through September.
