Ratcliff named one of the NLL Players of the Week

The National Lacrosse League regular season concluded last Saturday and the Washington Stealth's season ended as the only team not to make the NLL playoffs -- but Lewis Ratcliff still sent the Stealth off with a bang.

The forward was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week for his role in a 17-16 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bandits. Ratcliff had his best game of the season, recording seven goals, four assists and recovering five loose balls. Ratcliff's goal with 1:39 to play in the fourth period sent the game into overtime. The Bandits won in overtime on a John Tavares goal with 5:05 left in the extra session.

Rochester goalkeeper Matt Vinc earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after saving 35 of 42 shots in Saturday's 9-7 win over Philadelphia.

Rochester's Stephen Keogh also earned Rookie of the Week honors for scoring four goals and dishing two assists in that same game.

Minnesota's Jordan MacIntosh was named the Transition Player of the Week after scoring twice, dishing four assists and collecting 13 loose balls in the Swarm's 16-13 victory over Colorado on Saturday. Those same two teams meet in the Western Division semifinal on Saturday night.
