SPOKANE — The director of the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane has been fired.
Forrest Rodgers was terminated Wednesday by a 13-7 vote of the board of trustees. It followed a decision last week by the board’s seven-member executive committee.
Board members declined to explain the decision, but The Spokesman-Review reported that they made statements that indicated it had to do with fundraising and the budget.
Rodgers was hired last summer to help settle financial turmoil at the museum. He previously led the High Desert Museum in Bend, Ore., and the Central Washington University Foundation.
