Bazaar in Edmonds: St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Lynnwood will hold its 23rd annual Egyptian indoor festival and fundraising bazaar from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday at the Edmonds Yacht Club, 326 Admiral Way, Suite 100, Edmonds. There will be Egyptian food, papyrus art, Coptic Christian art, icons, literature and more.
E-cycle: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Everett will host a Community E-cycle event 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Televisions, computer monitors, laptops and cellphones may be recycled free of charge. The church is at 9320 Meadow Way, Everett.
Movie in Marysville: The film “Pray the Devil Back to Hell,” a story of Liberian women who worked to bring peace to their country, will be shown at 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of Bethelhem Lutheran Church, 7215 51st Ave. NE, Marysville. Event is free; movie appropriate for high school ages and up.
Unity Church retirement: After 30 years as spiritual leader of Everett’s Unity Church, also known as the Unity Center for Positive Living at 3231 Colby Ave., Bob Eagan and his wife, Charlotte, are retiring. Friends are invited to a celebration of their service 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday at Legion Hall in Everett’s American Legion Park, 145 Alverson Blvd.
New pastor in Arlington: The Rev. Scott Summers will be welcomed as the new pastor at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Arlington, at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. Summers, who is coming from a church in Woodburn, Ore., is a married father of two, and a graduate of Washington State University and the Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, Calif. The official installation service is scheduled at the church for 4 p.m. June 3. The church is at 615 East Highland Dr., Arlington.
The Sacred Garden: A day of inspiration, exploring sacred gardens in Christian and Islamic cultures, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 12 at the new Institute for Spirituality and the Arts, a ministry of Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. Father’s Day Car and Bike Show: Northshore Christian Church will host its 10th annual Father’s Day Car and Bike Show 9 a.m.-2p.m. June 17. Living Interfaith Church: will hold two services this month in the Alderwood Middle School cafeteria in Lynnwood. At 11 a.m. May 13, the service will honor Visakha Puja. Sometimes called “Buddha’s Birthday,” it celebrates the Buddha’s birth, his life and enlightenment. There will also be time to share memories of moms for Mother’s Day. Cathy Merchant and Steve Crawford will lead the service. At 11 a.m. May 27, for Memorial Day weekend, the sacrifices of those who have served in the military will be honored. Mill Creek Christian Women’s Connection: will hold a luncheon 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mill Creek Country Club, 15500 Country Club Dr. Cost is $22.
