MILL CREEK -- A 41-year-old Everett man died after an accident on his motorcycle in Mill Creek on Sunday.

The motorcyclist was westbound about 4:30 p.m. on Village Green Drive near 22nd Court SE when he collided with an eastbound Mercedes sport-utility vehicle, Mill Creek police Sgt. Ian Durkee said.

Witnesses said the motorcycle rider lost control of the bike, crossed the centerline and hit the driver's side quarter panel of the SUV, Durkee said.

The man was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. He was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation but died at the scene, Durkee said.
