The Hawks pitcher helped Mountlake Terrace with his arm and his bat last week as Mountlake Terrace rolled to three straight wins to secure the 3A District 1 title. Hatch limited Mount Vernon to just three hits and a run over six innings as the Hawks beat the previously unbeaten Bulldogs 6-3. He also pitched six solid innings and had two doubles in Terrace’s first-round win over Ferndale.

The Royals leadoff hitter went 2-for-4 with three runs to spark Lynnwood’s offense in a win over previously undefeated Everett and had a triple in a 12-2 win over Shorecrest as Lynnwood locked up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming district tournament

The T-birds junior forward scored the game’s only goal in Shorewood’s 1-0 win over Glacier Peak in the 3A District 1 championship game. Dibba also had a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Sedro-Woolley in the semifinal game.

The Grizzlies singles player, who was the third seeded player coming into the 3A Sub District tournament, came from behind to beat Monica Kwong 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in a semifinal match to earn a place in the final.

The Knights golfer shot a 94 to take co-medalist honors with Stanwood’s Jade Borseth and lead Kamiak to a spot atop the team leaderboard after the first day of the 4A District 1 tournament.

The Timberwolves harrier won the 800 and 1,600 events at the Wesco 4A meet despite missing the past 31/2 weeks with a stress fracture in his heel. The wins, coupled with wins in the 400 and 3,200 in previous years, makes Nelson the first Wesco boy athlete to win all four.

The Scots track athlete won the 300-meter hurdles by 31/2 seconds in setting a school record and also won the long jump competition at the Wesco 3A meet.
