Athletes of the Week — May 7-12

ALEX HATCH

Baseball | Mountlake Terrace

The Hawks pitcher helped Mountlake Terrace with his arm and his bat last week as Mountlake Terrace rolled to three straight wins to secure the 3A District 1 title. Hatch limited Mount Vernon to just three hits and a run over six innings as the Hawks beat the previously unbeaten Bulldogs 6-3. He also pitched six solid innings and had two doubles in Terrace’s first-round win over Ferndale.

JASMIN EDWARDS

Softball | Lynnwood

The Royals leadoff hitter went 2-for-4 with three runs to spark Lynnwood’s offense in a win over previously undefeated Everett and had a triple in a 12-2 win over Shorecrest as Lynnwood locked up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming district tournament

DAWDA DIBBA

Boys soccer | Shorewood

The T-birds junior forward scored the game’s only goal in Shorewood’s 1-0 win over Glacier Peak in the 3A District 1 championship game. Dibba also had a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Sedro-Woolley in the semifinal game.

NADEAN AL-ALI
