EVERETT -- Snohomish County sheriff's detectives are hoping someone can identify a man who might have information about a hit-and-run involving a motorcycle patrol deputy on May 7.
The incident happened at the intersection of U.S. 2 and I-5 around noon that day, sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
Police believe the driver of a white flatbed 1998 GMC truck with a "DDS Construction" logo on the door intentionally backed the truck over the deputy after the driver was pulled over.
The deputy suffered minor injuries and was treated at a hospital, Ireton said.
The truck had been reported stolen early that morning from a construction site in the 1100 block of Grand Avenue in Everett. The truck later was recovered in the Monroe area.
Detectives have released a photo of a man they'd like to speak with. The photo was snapped from surveillance footage in the Clearview area, Ireton said.
Anyone with information should call 425-388-3845.
