Help plant 40,000 colorful annuals this Saturday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. as part of the annual Mukilteo Boulevard planting.
The city provides the tools, safety vests, snacks and plants grown in its greenhouses. Plant as little or as much as you’d like.
This event started nearly two decades ago partly as a way to get plants in the ground quickly at minimal city expense. It’s also turned into a well-loved community event in which the same families show up every year to plant the same section of flower bed.
Catch a free event shuttle at the View Ridge Plaza parking lot. It’s located west of Forest Park at the three-way intersection of Mukilteo and Olympic boulevards and Dogwood Drive.
